If you intend to act as a house league coach or assistant coach, the OHF and the GTHL announced June 27, 2017 that all bench staff at the house league, select and rep levels (for all organizations) must take a new mandatory training module to support trans-inclusive hockey in Ontario – Understanding Discrimination based on Gender Identity and Gender Expression.

The course takes about 90 minutes and is FREE.

This is a one time and not annual requirement.

The course credentials, once completed, will appear on your hockey canada profile under qualifications – that means that both York Mills and the GTHL will monitor completion against rosters and deny any house league parent who has not taken this course form bench participation.

To take the course follow these steps:

If you do not have a Hockey Canada account please set one up now. Follow this link:

If you have just set up your Hockey Canada account, or you already have one, follow this link to complete the training:

Please make sure that course credentials appear against your Hockey Canada profile and not that of your child.
