Learn to Play Program

In connection with the YMHC 2017 / 2018 season we will offer a Learn to Play program.  Details follow:

Eligibility: Particiants must be born in 2011 to 2013 (age 5 to 7). Parents are not required to take the Parent Respect in Sport program. 

Sessions:  We offer 2 sessions of 8 lessons each - a fall and winter session.    Session 1:  Sunday Oct 22 to Sunday December 10, 2017.  Session 2:  Sunday January 14 to Sunday March 4, 2018.

Cost:  The cost to participate in either session is $300.00.  You will receive 8 lessons, a sweater and group photograph. 

Location and Time: fall session: York Mills Arena at 4:45pm until 5:45pm; Winter Session: 5:45pm to 6:45pm. 

Program:  Participant's should have no previous hockey experience.  Partricipant's should have the ability to get up and down and walking or striding are helpful.  Particiant's are to bring a stick and wear full hockey equipment. Each session will have a 40 minute skill component with a 10 minute scrimmage.  

Priority Placement:  Particiant's of our program will be given priority into the YMHC Minor Novice division in connection with the 2018 season.  Particiapnt's who participate in both sessions willo get  priority over players who participate in just one.
