Registration for RETURNING YMHC players (players who played in YMHC during the 2018 / 2019 season) for the 2019 / 2020 season begins Tuesday April 16, 2019 and finishes Sunday April 21, 2019.  

Email waitlist pre-registration for NEW, SIBLING (players who have never played in YMHC) , RETURNING YMHC REP and LEARN TO PLAY  players takes place initially by email starting Saturday April 13, 2019 at 9am. For more information - please click here.  

For the 2019 / 2020 season YMHC is looking for new players in all age groups, especially players born in 2013, 2012, 2010, 2008 and 2006 to 2002.  

New for the 2020 / 2021 season: YMHC will be implementing the OHF Under 11 (Atom) Pathway. For more information - please click here.

In connection with the 2018 / 2019 season YMHC implemented the OHF player development model geared to players age 8 and under called “Introduction to Hockey”. For more information - please click here.

Rowan's Law:  On July 1, 2019 the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport mandated that every player and bench staff must read and acknowledge Rowan's Law in order to participate in organized sport. For more information - please click here.

Learn to Play Program: YMHC will continue to offer a Learn to Play program in connection with our 2019 / 2020 season.  YMHC will accept registration for this program following the same email waitlist registration guidelines for New players and Siblings. Learn to Play participants get priority registration into our  Tyke and Minor Novice programs.  For more information - please click  here.  

Understanding Discrimination based on Gender Identity:  Commencing with the 2017 / 2018 season, the Ontario Hockey Federation mandated that all bench staff associated with house league, select and rep play must take a new mandatory training module to support trans-inclusive hockey in Ontario - Understanding Discrimination based on Gender Identity and Gender Expression. This is a one time (not annual) requirement.  To take this course - please click here

Used Equipment Drive:  Don't throwout  your old equipment!   YMHC will be running a new and improved used equipment drive this fall.  For more information  - please click here

Respect in Sport Parent Program:  Commencing with the 2016 / 2017 season the Ontario Hockey Federation mandated that at least one parent / guardian of all players (house league, select and rep) must complete the new Respect in Sport Parent Program. Players may not participate in any YMHC on ice activity (try-out / practice / game) until this requirement has been completed. This is a one time (not annual) requirement.  For the 2019 / 2020 season this requirement only applies to new parents / players to the GTHL. For more information  - please click here.

Important information and dates for the 2019 / 2020 season:

YMHC has adopted teamSNAP as our primary team and league communication tool. Please make sure your Hockey Canada email address (not your Hockey Canada log-in email address) is current as we use this address for all league communications. Please click here

  • Coaches Meeting:  There will be a mandatory Coaches meeting  Tuesday September 24 and Monday September 30, 2019 at 7pm at the  Toronto Cricket Club.  House league and select coaching staff must attend 1 of these sessions.  Please park across the street at Armour Heights Public School.  For more details please Click Here. 

  • Select Try-outs: The 2019 / 2020 select try-out schedule will be updated by March 31, 2019. Please Click here.

  • Rep Try-outs: The 2019 / 2020 season Rep try-out schedule will be updated March 24, 2019. Please Click here.

  • House League Season Begins: House League begins Tuesday October 15, 2019. Please check your Divisions Schedule for additional information.  For more information please Click Here . The 1st  / 2nd weeks are player assessment unless advised otherwise. 

  • 2019 / 2020 Fees:  Minor Bantam (age 13) and younger: $725 and for Bantam (age 14) and older: $600.   Learn to Play: $325. 

  • House League Schedules: The House League general schedule for the 2019 / 2020 season will be updated by August 1, 2019. To view the general schedule for the 2019 / 2020 season please Click Here. The regular season team schedules will not be posted on the web site or teamSNAP until the 1st of October  2019.

  • Games / Practices Cancelled: In the event that any house league games or practices are canceled due to bad weather or arena closures you will be advised via teamSNAP.

  • Halloween:  Games and practices scheduled for Thursday October 31, 2019 are canceled for younger divisions.   

  • Christmas Holidays: Games and practices are suspended starting Monday December 23, 2019. Games and practices resume on Monday January 6th, 2020.

  • Picture Day:  For 2019 dates - please Click here

  • Family Day: Monday February 17, 2020. Play canceled for all divisions.

  • Playoffs: Please check your particular Divisions Schedule.

  • March Break: Games and practices are suspended starting Saturday March 9 to Sunday March 24, 2019. Games and practices resume on Monday March 25th, 2019. 

  • Championship Day: Saturday March 30, 2019. 

  • YMHC Coaches and Trainers: YMHC participates in the Toronto Police Reference Check Program. All Coaches, Assistants and Trainers at the House League and Select levels must complete the GTHL Team Officials Certificate (available from your Convenor). This is an annual requirement.

  • 2020 / 2021 Registration Period:  Thursday April 16th, 2020 to Friday April 24th, 2020 for Returning players. New players, siblings and learn to play participants preregister by email starting Saturday April 11th, 2020 at 9am.
